Mrs. Jones- Sesame Street and The Electric Company used a lot of "New York Actors" in there show. And some of these actors took work where and when it came. Skip Hinnant, who played on the Electric Company, was the voice of Fritz in "Fritz the Cat" the very first X-Rated animated movie.

A lot of other actors were seen on Sesame Street before they moved on to other things:

    Raul Julia

    Stockard Channing

    Paul Benedict

    and others.

My favorite part in "Shaft" is where Richard Roundtree smashes through his window in his upstairs office to escape the bad guys. Later in the day, he returns to his office, and his windows is completely restored (and this is one of those multi pane jobs). Great stuff!

Gotta love those continuity errors, where the Bible is chock-full of them, too. (Only difference is, you don't get movie fanatics who try to protect their favorite movie, and try to explain them away with movie apologetics, or appeals to "movie magic".)

A classic Spaghetti Western film reinterpreted with a Blaxploitation touch, talk about drawing two audiences with one film. I saw the trailer when I went to see Prometheus, I didnt personally feel it encourages racism. I was curious about the white people in the audience and was watching their reactions. Some of them I get the feeling were waiting to see how blacks in the audience would react before they'd show any signs of being interested in the film. Other whites seemed comfortable enough to laugh or show interest rgardless of what people who look like me think.

i had to resurrect this thread. i saw this movie last night. very contriversial, even for tarantino. it was a little long but i think tarantino wanted his fans to get the whole story. not half of a story they would have to wait 9 months for part 2. foxx was awesome despite some recent comments which might have alienated him. and everyone, white and black applauded when django got his woman back.

    Lol...

Well, at least I like knowing that the guy gets the girl. Takes the edge off for me, and I can relax and enjoy the movie a bit more.

    Peace,

the end was expected. its what happens in between that matters. what i was pointing to is that i think black seemed to find the movie much more inspirational than the 10 or so white people who walked out. what i found even more suprising is the black folks disgust with a dead white dude. only tarantino could do that.

Django was awesome. Horrible and awesome. Mostly awesome. Also horrible. But mostly awesome. And incredibly bloody. And awesome.

BTW. django's woman was only a side plot. not even neccesary.
