Very sad to hear the news about the BBC and its disregard of abuse by some of its 'stars'. So similar to the JW situation in that its all about the culture of an organisation and determination to keep the brand looking shiny clean.

So the Watchtower B T S got hammered for its policies of allowing abuse of Children, lets see if the establishment hypocritically protect thier own in this case, or will we see the BBC being sued for millions?

I don't think it's just the BBC.
I am sure that in past decades it was very hard for victims of abuse to get people to believe them, especially if the abuser was someone powerful and well-known. I know from my own experience, from events close to me, that this is so.
And that's why, now that the flood-gates are opening, so many people are coming forward with their stories, not just victims but people who saw what was happening but who felt that they could not speak up.

I'm not sure that it's really that similar. Here the abuse was all to do with the power of Jimmy Saville because he had been turned into a kind of saint, yet in fact was a monster. My first thought was "no, not Jimmy Saville, surely not" and then within hours it became obvious that it was so.

Its really shocking how many people seemed to have been aware of Jimmy Saville's ongoing abuse of young girls and looked the other way.

That's true, cofty, and I wonder just how many more well-known people will find in the coming weeks that they have nowhere to hide. The papers were hinting this morning about another well-known figure about whom there are complaints about to come out. I don't know who it is.

Nambo..... The BBC doesnt claim to be the bride of christ or Gods spokesman on earth or a tree with good fruits... its a company.
Anyone that turns their head aside to child abuse DESERVES to be "hammered" including a religion. I thought some apologists might say it was hypocritical, but then I hoped people had more respect for the abused and realise there is a bigger picture, cults and tv channels aside, these attitudes have ruined lives.
I am just so glad the morals of today's world are less maluble. Racism, homophobia and abuse of a child's rights are just not acceptable. Even 20 years ago it was evidently less of an issue to some cultures.
The BBC has its hands up and is asking for details it is also asking for information, it also has the police involved and an independant investigator. Watchtower still have a closed mouth and 23,000 cases on file with no outside access. Did you see their latest BOE letter? They dont even class molestation as an underage child with a near aged adult. Dont get me started.....

Freddie Star's name as been mentioned as a partner in crime with Saville on at least one occasion. Odious little man.
The BEEB do seem determined to do the right thing and investigate its previous failings with an independent inquiry.

Snare and Racket, I think you must have misread my post, or I wrote it wrong, Iam not an apologist for either the Watchtower, or the BBC, the point I was trying to make was that just as the Watchtower has been rightly fined for allowing a culture of peodophillia, so the BBC should be for the same reason. I fully agree that the BBC should be hammered.
The above film on you tube, watch from the 36th minute and watch Bills film, Sun sea and Satan, probably most will think its a conspiracy theory or ravings of a lunatic, purely because it comes from alternative media, yet would belive it if the BBC reported such, how ironic is that.
As an abused child myself, and a resident of Childrens homes, I have obviously been interested in anything to do with Childrens homes and have done much research, the reports by Bill Maloney of Children being murdered in order to protect the establishment from witnesses to its darker side, I have heard from other unrelated sources, Websites, forums and groups for us now grown up Children from care, one such group I started and ran myself.
