known WTS doctrine would be the end of 6,000 years of human existence on planet earth in 1975.
Perhaps they can work in the "time, times and half a time" plus a Constant to arrive at the date.

Sounds quite good to me, but the weakness could be the date for big A: "2015" .
I think poster on this board are the seed crop for WT New Light.
This one starts off good, but needs adjusted re: the 2015. The WTS need to gain more time than just 3 years to go thru a major overhaul of doctrine. Instead of the "40 year" time limit from 1975, we need to find a basis for 50 or 60 or 70. Something that is attainable by most current JWs, but long enough away to not have to redo it when it fails in 2015.
Revamping the Jubilee period of 50 years, would at least get them to 2025. That might be a nice start.

I was thinking along the same line. In orded for them get the troops motivated,they need to reset the endtime clock. Sure they would take some losses but it also may energize those apathic jws that are true believers
The one I gave credence in for a while, when I was a kid, was 1984 which was 70 years since 1914. That scared me a lot, and people in the congregation were talking about that date.
I remember thinking, everything is gonna be gone by October...I was starting high school, and I thought....I am not going to make it. Depressing time.

Are you taking into account that there was no 0 year? Plus, did you factor Noah's 120 years of preaching plus the Israelites 40 years of wandering in the wilderness less the missing 18 years from when Jesus was 12 years of age until he reached 30 ?
