Hi biblecheck - I love what you've done with the cover. I also love your extremely informative videos. Keep up the great work!
Cedars
so about the parody covers, there was one i remembers circulating amongst at least active JWs around 2001-2003ish (when i was in very good standing) "awake: Jive , should you dig it?"
anybody, remember that one?
Brilliant. Nuke them from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.
Gear parody cover!
But really, (and I just commented about the same thing on the thread about the daily text) I always wondered why the two main emotions I remember from childhood were fear and guilt. Fireballs from the sky, mommies and babies getting drowned with wooly mammoths and mountain lions - it's all part of the fun!
I wouldn't put it past them to use a cover like that. Seems like there was one back in the early 80s that was pretty gosh-darn terrifying - something about the destruction of false religion with churches getting zapped and stuff like that.
Most of us slid that one inside the Awake and presented something more peaceful to the householders, but one brother loved the cover and shoved it in people's faces with glee. I tried to avoid being in his car group.
NOTE: the original Watchtower Jan 1, 2013 cover image is real - (see below) - imagine actually trying to place that WT with people in this 21st C ? - what a joke!!
Anyway, I thought because the cover was so ridiculously stupid it deserved an idiotic title to match. Y ou can check out the original magazine in its entirety @ jw.org here

^^^^ It may as well have been entitled "Alien Fireballs"
All a bunch of bullshit.
Yep. Crazy stuff.
This would sell quite well at those tables in NYC! ^^^^^
