Nice people, but wrong.
SamuelIsrael puts it this way
Most cultic persons such as the JW's and others almost always "turn on you" when they perceive you have finally rejected their ministrations. And yes, some of the JW people are very nice, agreeable, zealous and sincere but so are the others in the imagined security of their cult. That particular cult is well suited to criticism owing to their many failures of predictions and defective doctrinal issues. They did it to themselves. No person, government or radical militant group forced Charles Taze Russell and others to contradict the LORD in His absolute statement that the time of His arrival was not to be revealed. Yet C. T. and others have attempted this very thing.
"Niceness" is a personality trait not Biblical Truth. It is correct [I believe] to be cordial to JW's in that but for the GRACE of God there go we. And in the matter of ultimate salvation we are not in the loop. God alone knoweth them that are His. And so, let everyone who nameth the Name of the LORD depart from all iniquity. I recuse myself from passing judgment in that sense concerning ultimate salvation of those trapped in the cults, e.g., the JW's, etc. I believe it is wise to focus on the doctrinal content and not the person standing or sitting before you. Their doctrines which are contrary to Biblical Truth must of course be rejected but not the person. That is an issue for God alone.
The primary thrust of the JW movement experienced meltdown long, long ago. The entire cult is actually on artifical life support. The nature of cults is to perpetuate themselves by suceeding generations. The initial JW expectations and prophecies failed long ago. The zeal of those drafted into the cult in later years is the fuel which keep their home fires burning. But then, this is the history of all cults be it Mormons, Adventists, many other lesser known cults. It will never change until the consummation.
Shalom.

1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Depression
4. Acceptance and Hope
each Witness at their own pace, some senior dubs are still stuck in stages 1-2 after listening and living a life of sixty years of failed expectations and erroneous Bible interpretations! That's Bitter Man!
