I have slowly gotten more and more into watching reality shows. From a lowly beginning, where the networks viewed them as trash tv, they are increasing in number. They have all kinds of them, now. Some that i like are dirty jobs, highway thru hell, the car customizing ones.

I hate to admit, that when I need a good laugh I watch Jersey Shore.
Watch Survivor and Big Brother.............
All Kardashian, TLC, Duggers, and etc have been banned in my house
Pawn Stars and Harcore Pawn. I learn some history with stars and I laugh at hardcore.
I see a couple of AMISH reality shows. Maybe they will do one on LEAVING JWs...LOL
Uhhh.....yeah...about those "reality shows", they are a lot like teevee wrestling shows.
I occasionally watch the programs that show people in extreme kinds of employment. Ice Road truckers, Crab fishermen, loggers, Alaskan air transport and a couple of thers
Not into the red neck shows about mud tractors, catfish noodling, car repos, etc.
Scripted sitcoms bore me to death. Whatever happened to the Seinfeld, Raymond quality of shows.
For theatrical entertainment I enjoy Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and a couple of others.
I like the ones about the Coast Guard -- Coast Guard Alaska especially. Dirty Jobs, Cops, and Project Runway too. On Project Runway I watch the beginning to see what the challenge is and then the end to see what they designed. I skip the middle where they bitch a lot about how hard it is. I love to see how they can make their ideas real.
Used to watch Mythbusters but they ran out of myths to bust some time ago.
I like a few of them, like Billy the Exterminator, Storage Wars and Pawn Stars. And Ghost Hunters is kind of a guilty pleasure.
But I've never gotten into the competition ones, such as Survivor and American Idol. And Jersey Shore I find absolutely vapid.
I feel like an old man on this thread as I remember watching the first season of the Real World faithfully. I've always wondered what really happened between Kevin and Julie. Then the San Francisco season with Puck and Pedro was addictive.
Nowadays I can't watch reality , it just doesn't do anything for me. At work when the conversation turns into the latest on some reality show, I put my earbuds in. I do get a kick out of Turtleman though. I don't know if the prison documentaries count as reality tv, but I love those shows. Lockdown, and Lockup, can watch that stuff all day long.

I actually liked the first couple of seasons, myself. The people actually had personalities when the show first aired. It's become really superficial, though. Now it's just frat boys and party girls, and seeing who will hook up with who.
