This may have been covered here, if so Iam sorry.
Other then the bible, what evidence do they use?
I am waiting for the minister to show me proof. I told him
if he can convince me, I will attend his service the very next
Sunday.

There is no evidence for Adam outside the bible - actually there is no "evidence" for Adam inside the bible.
Genetics prove we did not originate from a single pair of humans. Homo sapiens just like us have been around for approx 250 000 years.
We have non human DNA code in us, the same code as found in non human species in our ancestory.... very human like animals....
So Adam .. as the first human... to accept that is to deny evidence you can see foryourself in 2012. Your choice....
Almost every culture has an origin myth for humanity and a concept of a "first man". Adam (Hebrew for "human being") is the first human in the Hebrew version of the myth. Scientifically there is no such thing as a "first man"; species (such as H. sapiens) are always populations of genetically variable individuals...a new species that arises through speciation is always a population.
Do let us know what the minister comes up with!!
If he comes up with anything, but I will let you know.
faith=evidence in religion
Adam is not introduced until Genesis chapter 2. There was a man and woman unnamed in chapter 1, who were charged with breeding and filling the earth with their numbers. Evidently, Adam is a transplant from one of that population.
By theologies? The 'evidence' is the geneaology record from Jesus to Adam. It's in Matthew 1 and Luke 3.

Actually, "Adam" doesn't clearly appear as a name until ch. 4 (v. 25). Prior to this the reference is to ha-'adam "the human being".
