Hubby got my youngest son a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. The boy loves it. Never asks for my iPad anymore...well unless he's forgotten to charge his tablet.

Yeah understand. I bought mine online for $490 unlocked from Hong Kong. The company assures that the phone works in your country and has a 12 month gaurantee. Been perfect. But yes HTC was up there

I Love my new iPad! I bought it when an accident left me somewhat laid up and under strict instructions to rest with my legs up. Thatrather ruled out long sessions on the PC.

i can do many, many things on the iPad and do them with my feet up. And now that I am much better (whoopee!) I can take the iPad with me wherever I go.

But I do have one bone to pick with it. It thinks it knows better than I do what I want to say and has a nasty habit of changing my words and inserting full stops all over the place. Still, on balance, I'm still head over heels in love with it!

Yes, Simon, I agree the last Ipad did seem to be a bit of an unfinished product- I still have 2 original Ipads w/3g-att. For what we used them for they are fine- $429 for 64gb refurbs seemed like a good deal 18 months ago. They are in pristine condition-kept in leather portfolio cases. I was a little miffed that Apple didn't give us any new ios6 updates, but I still won't be herded down the chute with the crowd to purchase a new Ipad, just to get cameras, which we already have on our iphones . Siri is quite often, too busy to answer my questions, anyway

I think I will watch a movie on my Ipad tonight- Handbrake lets you store a lot of movies in 50+gb of space.

I get Simon, Apple has built a cult where they do no wrong (the cult members will NOT complain)

The sheeple will buy anything new that apple makes, and sell their barely used one pennies on the dollar!

and they are arrogant where their shiite doesn't smell (my flash player grievance)

Anyway, I have an Ipad1, and have no plans on replacing it, but my daughter has a Ipod generation 3 where her battery life has been drastically reduced.............. so by spring we will weigh whether to get another ipod or get a ipad mini

btw, I was gonna buy a gadget called (Mophie) for my ipod touch. the Apple store techie talked me into it.

brough it home, and found out that it worked only for ipod generation 4 (seems like apple changed the dimensions by that much where nothing works on gen 4 -vs- gen 3). We had to return it.

they sure make a good $$$$$ for accessories. gotta replace all your accessories anytime you upgrade

Dropped my iPad 2 on the bathroom floor this morning and chipped/dinged the glass/aluminum corner.

That's what I get for reading apostate message boards in he bathroom at six AM!

    (BTW it still works fine)

I saw this. An iPad mini? How is that any different than the iPod touch?
