Does anybody know if it was felt in Seattle? Aren't they overdue for a rather large quake? Something this might lead to it triggering.

Watching current earthquake strikes and it seems to be a cluster of them since the BC 7.7.

they're ignoring that on U.S. news, in favor of the frankenstorm. But 7.7 is pretty significant, glad everyone is OK. Largest I was ever in was 7.6 and that was out in the desert, and most of the local buildings were quake-fitted so not much damage other than broken glass and large cracks in the roads.

We, here on the west coast (well me, anyway) expect to slide into the pacific ocean, one day (joke, sort of).

It's interesting, Satanus - the other day my granddaughter was asking about live volcanos so we were looking Mount st. helens up on the map. I couldn't believe how many live volcanos are along the west coast range. There have been a number of earthquakes, too. It's the most active seismic zone in Canada, of course. So I don't think you are alone in your belief!

Move to Florida. We don't get earthquakes, hurricanes, etc.

I'm not worried about it. You know, i have a theory that siesmically active places give off some kind of energy that tends to energise people. If that's true, then it would be worth it, imo. I have recently lived in 3 greatly separated areas, and i feel the different 'energys', how they each differ. Could be my imagination, of course.
