Watching tv and looks bad. It's chilly and windy in SE GA, maybe effect from storm, don't know. All you in Sandy's path, take care. Nature does not care who you are. She's in control.

Blowing & raining in upstate NY. I have to force myself to drink Scotch to settle my nerves.

Close to the DC line, in Maryland--all quiet over here. Winds are strong, lots of water, but nothing too serious yet. Lots of people are already without power in the area, but so far we've been spared that. I wouldn't bet on that holding through the night, though.

Flipper and I are setting in our snug quarters on the west coast watching this thing unfold on our giant flatscreen HDV TV's, still feeling the afterglow of the World Series.

Makes me feel guilty for our friends out east going through this monster storm. Something to tell your grandchildren. Continue to persevere.

I thought this storm was supposed to kick in around 8pm EST, the wind was blowing heavier earlier this afternoon ! (at least in my area)

right now it's kinda calm, sure hope it stays this way, although cable went out about an hour ago I bought one of those converter boxes that folks have to use that don't have cable, bought it last year day after Irene, cable was out for just about a week.

We're getting coverage of the storm on our tv here in Australia.

    Stay safe everyone!

BBC news is covering it. It seems to have hit Atlantic City so far.
