MrFreeze and Mebaqqer2 are right... its a nonsense question and cannot be "answered" without nonsense logic.
Sab, the question has no merit despite what you imagine its means. If you dont understand why, re-read and understand what MrFreeze and Mebaqqer2 already posted.
All the added "maybe" and "what if..." responses advertise it isnt a sincere question & perhaps that is the point.

An intelligent (self-aware) being capable of creating an explosion using Higgs-like quantum particles to create the existence you and I reside within.
The burden of proof IS on me and the single most important piece of evidence is existence itself. I use US (and everything) as the proof, now you have to disprove that we were created by a self-aware entity capable of creating everything.

this is why the scientific method is so awesome.
1. you didn't prove anything in the least bit.especially in that first quote. if you understood the scientific method, you'd realize that all you have is a hypothesis, a very very very shaky hypothesis based on nothing. that in and of violates the entire scientific method from the get go.
2. you're going to use qm which is moving towards a totally godless universe as proof that there's a god?
3. you want to use existence as your evidence, but human history shows overwhelming evidence that god is make believe.
4. disprove god exists...

If there were an intelligent designer from the start it would seem that there would be a point maybe even a purpose to that beings creations. Humans are obviously part of that equation too, if you believe that sort of thing.
So man is created in his image; if grave confusion and misunderstanding abounded about you, would you make some concerted effort to clear up this confusion? Of course you would! Yet for thousands of years this intelligent designer has allowed confusion and conflicting ideas to abound, yes? For thousands of years this intelligent designer has allowed his products to destoy themselves, yes? The least he could do is identify himself.
If the goal was just to create something, and sit back and watch it destroy itself, and abound in confusion, is that "intelligent"? Is it very intellegent to design the Andromeda galaxy to be on a collision course with the Milky Way (and many other galaxies)?
This of course PROVES nothing, but at least it helps to form a more rational hypothesis than the confusing explanations than the Bible or Qua'ran is going to give you.

I constantly hear these arguments and I can't help but think that many times the person saying them is just repeating what others have said. I'd like something to back up these two comments. Atheists love to say that these things, so I'd like some back up info:

These are generalizations that someone can read and accept as fact. However, there is no detail behind it. I'm not necessarily saying that they are untrue, but they are so overly generalized that there is nothing to take away from comments like these. Very simple minded, it seems.

Sebatious, in my short time on this forum, it has been my experience that we are dealing with mainly amateur atheists. I have dealt with seriously intelligent atheists in my life who take the time to actually answer questions the best they can. On here, however, you get obfuscation, diversionary tactics, and outright ad hominem personal attacks. I wish you the best in getting an answer. I wouldn't let the antics of the amateurs make you think less of the sincerity of intelligent atheists, even though I personally disagree with both.
On another note, the most impressive encounter I had with an atheist was one who was also a high-ranking Freemason.

Sebatious, in my short time on this forum, it has been my experience that we are dealing with mainly amateur atheists.
I've found this too, however, there are a lot of very intelligent atheists on this board as well. Cofty, NC, Nicolau, and a few others really do take the time to explain their understandings and largely stay away from the insults that others are stupid. Unless of course they are pushed too far. :-)
