I like the dog an the snake story---there was a great forest fire, all the animals were running for their lives, they all came to this river and swim across to safety. The only 2 left were a dog an a snake. The dog was getting ready to jumb in the water and the snake said "let me get on your back, because I can't swim!" The dog said "If I do, you will bite me" The snake said "why would I do that? We would both die then!" "Thats true" the dog said "jump on" Well half way across the river the snake bit the dogs neck "why did YOU do that, we are both going to die NOW" The snake said "you knew what I was!"-----------------Who can you blame for playing with snakes?-----------bless it, and move on with your LIFE!

I know how it is, my 1st wife had an affair with an elders brother for about a year, now this was unknown to me, but when it came to light I forgave her for the infidelity, and the elders did not. Now this elders brother had actually been inactive for a number of years, and was very well know in the small community, of Blue Earth MN as being quite the playboy, but he got off, he was only priviatly reproved, can you beleive that, He was the playboy in town, and only got privatley reproved. Well I guess it pays to have a relitave on the commity, Oh BTW his brother sat on the Judicial commity for my wife too. LMAO talk about double standards

How anyone can say this is "Gods Channel" here on earth, and look at what is going on around them is beyond me.

Welcome, and my sympathies. The details differ, but the end result is the same in everyones story. They will try to punish you and silence you. How are you going to respond? Right now you are hurt and angry and you want to strike back by suing. You have a lot of unlearning and healing to do and a huge fight with a bunch of nobody elders will do nothing but cause more pain and anger. Although watching them lie and spin the truth in court might be amusing...

The 'Joshua Defense'? Brillient! If that doesnt work you could try the 'Chewbacca defense', but you would need to hire Johnny Cochran to pull it off.

Yes I do no of one sucessful case of an appeal in my old congregation of a friend of mine who has now left the organization anyway,, the dissfellowshiping decission was overturned on a technicality.
