I was reading the Find Whitney Heichel page of FB and the moderator has posted info about another missing girl in Oregon (non-JW) Well, apparantley this missing girl has some sort of a past or something and people are getting on the site (mostly JW's) and making rude remarks about this girl has a bad past and that it's prob her fault. I can't fathom how they can get on there after the horrible tragedy of Whitney and yet because this other missing girl is not JW somehow now they attach fault to her going missing. This is exactly why I can't deal with JW's. They are so locked in their world and belief that they are so much better than the rest of us that they can't even be compassionate. Now in all fairness most of the comments made are very kind. But it goes to show me that they are willing to take the the help from the community when it affects them but yet this "worldly" girl is missing and they immediately go on the attack of her past. Unbelievable.
Disgusting

Oh you know what? I just realized I posted this in the wrong place. My apologies.

Their ability to think & reason is damaged, or at least undeveloped. They are so accustomed to someone else doing all of their thinking for them.
In another thread here, it was said that a JW made the comment on a secular news message board about Whitney Heichel's death (vs. a miracle from Jah to save her life) being the result of her compromising her integrity by performing oral sex on her attacker. WTF? "She committed adultery" because she didn't scream and fight to the death to prevent compromising Jehovah's moral standards. (Is it that they need to find an excuse of why their God didn't save her?)
Another interesting poster here (claiming insider info) said she bit his wanger. (Good for you, girl!)

That is sad, but It made me wonder that if a similar situation were to occur except the victim lived, and the victim went to the police, admitted sexual assault (forced to perform oral sex), and the offender denied it, would the victim then be subject to some type of 'punishment' by the WT if there was no evidence to support her claim legally? I mean, she would have admitted it to police thus making a confession. This is totally hypothetical. Interesting thought, though...

Yea, it's hypothetical, but the fact that so many of us have wondered this since the ordeal happened, is evidence of how programmed JWs are when it comes to how the WTS treats sexual assault. Where else but in WTland, can the victim can be investigated, counseled and even punished by an elder body?
"why were you alone in a car with another man, not your husband?" "what were you wearing?" "had you ever flirted with him before?" "did you have communications with him, like phone calls or texts before this incidence?" "were you having an affair with him and trying to break it off?"
These are the kind of questions she could have possibly been asked in an elder's investigative case, had she only been sexually assaulted and not killed.
While we have all grieved for her and been touched by her story, the treatment she would have faced at the hand of the elders, had she lived, would have been criminal as well.

I sort of thought that would probably have been the case. That's so sad. Thanks, Undercover.
Btw, just a personal opinion, but I think some JWs are the most judgmental people I have ever met.

I may be so ignorant I don't have a rational thought in my head, but, here goes anyway...
just as a crazy thought...
why not bite the rapist's damned tool right off his body with one ferocious rip, shred and tug?
Wouldn't that slow down his ability to retaliate long enough to get away?
It would matter less if he were caught--if you know what I mean?
I mean this as a general strategy and not necessarily specifically about this case.
You start getting rapists with their offending equipment gnawed off and it might send a message.
If this is too offensive for you just ignore me.

Excellent emotional response, Terry - but a person being terrorized with a gun held on them in this situation is probably not going to be able to do that.
Which causes a thinking person to realize that the JW "guilty victim if you don't scream and fight" creed is total bullshit.
