The last ten years I was in I think I realized I was going to die, no matter what the Watchtower said, so it wasn't really that much of an adjustment when I realized that the truth was not the truth. I never really had much of a fear of death anyway, so it was never something I worried about.

It seems odd to worry about something, you will never know about..
How do you know your Dead,if your Dead?..

Yes, I have had major problems adjusting to the fact that there will be no everlasting life on a paradise earth. That is the teaching they use to hook you with. People will definitely do a lot to get in on this deal of never dying. Now that I know that the Watchtower Society is wrong about just about everything, I'm really glummer.
I am getting over it as time goes by. We just need to go on with what we have left and not let the past control how we live the rest of our lives. Learn to be happy. Make up your mind to be as happy as you possibly can.

I've seen my mate die, thought we would be going through together, my parents, my in laws, friends..... mortality is a reality now.. and as I watch the world I think maybe, maybe, but as my kid is going through his problems and doesn't know if he can handle them, it closer now than ever before -

Facing the fact that I am going to die has been a real awakening. Since I was old enough to remember, I would never have to face the neutrality issue at school (The Pledge), nor graduate, nor marry, nor. . . . ALL the same things that they said MY PARENTS would never face. Of course, facing death was never even discussed. Living right on into Panda Paradise and living forever was just a given.
Now having buried all those previous generations, grandparents, parents, older aunts/uncles, I realize they all bought a LIE. Most of them were TOO YOUNG to even qualify for the "Millions....." who would never die. All dead. Dirt nap.
But no time to worry about death and dying. Too busy worrying about survival in retirement. Oh yeah, wasn't supposed to have to worry about that either!
Would have been so much easier to have taken the Blue Pill.

oh absolutely. Remeber even if we did die in this world, there was a good chance that we would get resurrected and reunited with our families.
When that belief melted away, I felt time for the first time. We are here for a limited period, we will grow old, fail and die. I have never had children and don't plan too, and I suddenly felt alone and that I have nothing of me to leave behind. Who would remember me - my life would mean nothing and I would just be gone. The world wouldn't have even felt my presense. I look at mountains and imagine how time must move so slowly for them, how the earth changes and they bare silent witness to it.
I am so very tiny compared to this universe.

Still thinking - it is amazing hey. I love geology and find it so fascinating. We have some awesome mountains to the west of me - in the Drakensburg (Dragon mountains) Some of the oldest rock on earth!!!! Out in those mountains you can look up at pitch black sky and be amazed at the night sky - I have to say that the Southern Hemisphere night skies are more beautiful Sit back and just drink it all in with a glass of delish merlot and some cape cheeses. Yessssss please.

Still haven't come to terms with it.
I don't want to die, dammit!
Still hoping scientists invent something to save the day. But in the meantime, I'm enjoying my life.
