  In both question and statement form, one word that’s overused to the point of nausea is truly.

  - Is that truly the case?

  Got new for whoever is asking; either “that” is “the case” or “that” is not “the case”. There is no difference between “truly the case” and “the case”.

  - That is truly the case!

  Got news for whoever says it; either “that” is “the case” or “that” is not “the case”. There is no difference between “truly the case” and “the case”.

  Why do folks use this term so much? Is it voodoo? Is it lack of vocabulary? Is it parroting? Is it just filler?

  What is it with THAT word?

  Why the hell do folks use this word like it’s candy?

  Because, like candy, it TRULY sweetens the sentence in JW speak. It's like a verbal flourish, no doubt. ( I hate that every sentence they speak there are several "no doubt" s in the sentence. It TRULY irritates me. They TRULY think it makes what they say TRUE, truly.

  I truly can't deal with this one. I'm still trying to make everyone in the world quit saying "momentarily" when they really mean "soon."

  As in: "Please hold. I'll be with you momentarily."

  Momentarily means "for a moment," NOT "in a moment."
