I'm with you Hortensia, (to be candid) screw xmas.
Its all about overpriced food and crap. Even if I had young kids, I think I'd buy them some good presents, and do my best to protect their delicate little minds from such consumerist religious rubbish.*
This year I'm going to a friends place who has promised to cook a delicious Chinese meal.
(*ps: that's what I did when I was a witness, anyway)
Another PS. I knew a long-term witness family back in the 1950's. New in the truth, (sarcastic grin) this idealistic young kid (that I used to be) wondered to them, how far away was the Big A? "No more than 5 years, for sure, the Dad says to me. Yeah, right! He's long dead, his son (who studied with me) is just about dead, and I guess I've not got that long to go myself. But back to the point FTS. The point being that Mum faithful witness used to buy her kids chrissie presents every year. And guess who was a very frequent visitor to their house - none other than big Ted Jarascz. Isn't there a lesson there for someone????
