Jim_TX . . . interesting post on anti-gravity, and well explained. I remember reading a sci-fi tale decades ago on space travel and am racking my brains to recall it.
The principles used in the tale included anti-gravity, achieved by "insulating" an object (craft) from gravitational force. Additionally, propulsion was achieved by "focussing" on the gravity of distant celestial objects exclusively, to obtain propulsion, which accelerated the object continuously until the focus was "insulated" again, once the desired speed was reached. Multiple focal points could also be used to obtain navigational precision and manoevering. A simple concept not beyond the realms of possibility.
As regards the OP . . . don't trust google earth.
