I am a cycler because my knees won't allow me to run or walk without pain, but I can cycle all day long. I love it.

I used to walk two miles a day, but have stopped it due to a change in work location. I did notice my needs for Diabetes med's go up in recent years.
I picked up the walking regiment recently, and noticed a difference. I agree, walking is great.
