We've been here in virginia beach for two years. I really like the weather a nice temperate seasonal change a few hurricane scares but overall pretty nice. The place we lived before was hot and often dry and not near enough to the ocean so I'm glad we left.
The trees are very beautiful just passing the autumn peak i had been away from the color change for so long I forgot how beautiful it was and how tall the trees can be.

Great picture there, Nancy! Thanks.

New Zealand was great too, even though it was only a stopover at Auckland. Bought lots of books as the Kiwi was 50 cents on the US dollar about 13 years ago when I went.

cold, windy, dark, rainy. Intermittent power outages. Annoying - gotta have power for the internet, eh?

I'm going literal. I have my first "skaarpie" tan - that means a shirt tan. Summer is on the way, we have serious heat, sunshine and humidity. I love this time of year. Everyone starts getting that sun kissed look.

All of the UK is grey and rainy today, Coco. On Sunday it was beautiful. A very frosty start but a clear blue sky and lots of sunshine. I wrapped up well and went for a walk in the woods at a National Trust place near where I live. The woods are full of red and fallow dear and squirrels stashing their supplies for the winter. From the woods I could see the reservoir in the distance where people were sailing. Lots of white sails on calm water against a clear blue sky. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Hot. Dry
right now I am on my front veranda looking at a grass fire 5 km away in the hills, hoping the wind does not pick up...between me and it is hundreds of acres of wheat ready to harvest. Not worried...
Thankyou summer lightning storm.
