The man has no class and is a selfish inconsiderate arse. If the religion were that important to him he would have had the decentcy to get divorced and then think about a new relationship rather than start shopping around whilst still married. I can't see him restraining himself and she is no better. They are the ones trapped in a religion that has these rules and they can chose to follow them or not. Whether he is with her or not is not your responsibility. Whether he is happy or not after the divorce is not your concern.
You have every right to be angry and annoyed any other response would be inappropriate. The sooner you can break free from this relationship the better. You are there for your children and that counts, investing in the relationships that are meaningful and important is far better than being the whipping boy for someone who doesn't appreciate that you are awesome.
