I heard that one group of elders did not receive notification that they had to bring their own food for lunch. As a result they did not have lunch and were very upset. Wow, they were more concerned about the physical food than the spiritual food.

So was your summation the same as the other more detailed report? Did you feel that they wanted to "rev up" the disfellowshipping machine so to speak?

If anybody can get ahold of the videos and send it to the press, youtube, ect…

Thanks for sharing your observation. Their stubborn refusal to call the police in cases of child abuse has become the conversation stopper with my mom. She'll try the emotional blackmail to get me to "return to Jehovah", but the moment I bring up that they still call WT Legal instead of the police, she changes the subject and seems to completely forget that she even argued for WT.

Thanks WT for being such stubborn jackasses! Deep down inside, my mom hates you, she just doesn't realize it yet.

The introduction and conclusion were also very strange

Wasn't that one wacked-out intro video?

We had Lett at a DC several years ago, but I only saw him at a distance. Even at 100 yards, I could tell his eyebrows were moving like Mexican jumping beans.

But seeing him up close in the video? Yikes! I can't even describe it.

I think this might come closest: You know the JW dramas? With cheesy dialogue and the exaggerated grand sweeping gestures? That is as subtle as the gentlest of breezes brushing a rose petal compared to what Lett was doing on this video.

He looked like he was about to go into a seizure of some sort.

To all the ex-Bethelites - is he like that all the time?

He wasn't like that in ordinary conversation, but as soon as you got much of a group, he turned "on" and the face went wacky.

As for ramping up Df'ings...I guess you could make that case. That video of the committee case was sort of implying that elders are being swayed by sentiment instead of WT directives. Sentiment, how dare they! They must be thinking that more people need to be df'd then are actually getting the axe. And yes that intro and concl. way, way over exaggerated. Kind of silly, and unnecessary too.

It wasn't just the face - he was bouncing around and waving his arms....about to turn Pentecostal, start speaking in tongues or something.
