Yes, if the Society could eliminate these problems caused from the "Hall of Justice", maybe we could stop losing many JWs out the revolving door.

    "

So if you are in good standing but are shunned because your congregation is infected with cliques....

If a "brother" cheats you out of your pay, your property............

If an elder and/or his wife spread terrible lies and the other cowardly elders do nothing.....

Adversities that come from those you are told love you and are trustworthy........." Blondie's comments

Paragraph 10 states: “It is also good to keep in mind that we cannot remove all problems.”

I say, with WT’s help we can!

The WT’s disciplinary practice of disfellowshipping and shunning, the no blood policy, the constant harassment from WT about field service obligations, meeting preparation & attendance, assembly & convention demands, the confusion that updates & new understandings cause and the pressure of keeping up with the latest publications--all contribute to high level of anxiety and other emotional adversities the JWs suffer from today.

Do away with all the unscriptural insistence on the time, assets and energies of the rank and file and you do away with the majority of emotional adversities in JWs’ lives.

JW-Gone-Bad: what you are asking cannot be done, the Organization will implode.

The push for "more preaching, more Bible-studies, more Meeting Attendance" is not going to be replaced by a Christian teaching of "Compassion, Empathy, Charity, Love, Forgiving People, Joyfulness", it's not going to happen in this time! Too much work to do, like the Mad-Hatter "I'am Late! I'am Late, "I'am Late to Field Service, Meetings :)

Christian qualities don't mix well with the Watchower's "work's based economy", running off the dark-engery of anxiety, depression, fear of men, fear of the End, guilt of not doing enough".

Many of those problems are caused by serving Jehovah, and Jehovah and his filthy angels do the attacking and blame Satan and His Demons. This is to scare people away from Satan, get them running right back to Jehovah, and shun real spiritual growth and enlightenment. Then, Jehovah attacks at a later time to guilt people into doing even more, causing even worse problems, and extorting more concessions. Satan gets unjust blame for this as well.

The article goes into trusting in Jehovah (misplaced trust) for major disasters. Some experience total loss, but how many homes simply endure a blackout that can last several hours or a day or two? Is Jehovah going to help you in the event of a blackout? These are far more common than a total loss, and if you are prepared (and I mean with plenty of backup lights and batteries to power them), it is nothing more than a nuisance. However, people that are not prepared are prone to serious injury. Try shopping at Walmart when the lights go totally out. Or, what if you are at a call where you need to climb stairs in the building? There is no natural light, just light from a few squiggly things glowing. You reach the top, knock on the doors, and just as you are about to go back down, the lights go out (and, if the United Tyranny of Stupidity is dumb enough to help Israel again as in 1973, Iran could well block oil to that country and cause rolling blackouts at any time). Without a flashlight, you could well fall down the stairs and no one will help. A simple high-quality flashlight could make the difference between making it out uninjured and winding up in the hospital.

Yet, where is the insistence that basic steps be made toward this? Political instability in the Middle East makes a major energy crisis with rolling blackouts more likely. This, not the disaster where everything is totally trashed, is going to affect most people sooner or later. A simple Fenix LD22 flashlight or Nitecore EA1 (both using common AA batteries) could make the difference between an adventure and a trial. With the light, you save the accident, you save the hospital trip, you save the pain and expense, you save the disability, and you might even save having to deal with "the blood issue". Yet, the rag doesn't say a peep about it. I guess they would rather have people dealing with problems simply for the sake of dealing with problems instead of avoiding them.

    Paragraph 17 was a beauty!

One sister in Asia who suffers from bipolar mood disorder was delighted when she read the life story of a former missionary brother who successfully dealt with the same disorder. She wrote, "It helped me to understand my own problem and gave me hope."

Soooooooooooooo............................................a magazine helped you understand and gave you hope aboutyour disorder? Riiiiiiiiiiight.

What are the chances of visiting (a) doctor(s) to help you deal with your condition? They are just as imperfect as missionaries but they actually work and specialize on people with these disorders. But no, the WT wouldn't encourage that. Why would they? You can just leave it in God's hands.

    Thank you Blondie!

    "Meeting Today's Adversities With Courage"

Hmm, it is a build-em-up and tell 'em where they are going wrong kind of article..The point I get is that if you are down or struggling, it is all your fault. You may be sick, poor or even homeless but if you stick to the meetings and the ministry , you will be fine . "Keep calm and carry on!"

p 11 (after discussing the placebo effect in medicine:

"On the positive side, Jehovah does not give us “sugar pills.” Rather, even in times of disaster, he gives real help"

The WTS has been dishing out sugar pills for 130 years and counting ! "Just hold on untill 1914, or 1925, or 1975 or soon ,real soon, and all your troubles will be over"...is what they say , Does it ever come? Isn't it just quack medicine purporting to cure all your ills?

We are told of the poor lady, christened "Lani" for this article

“The treatments [for cancer] made me very ill, and I was left with no self-esteem.” ....................................................................

Despite that "Lani, mentioned earlier, explains her view of Christian association: “Attending meetings was not optional. I knew that I had to be there if I expected Jehovah to help me cope.”

It may be "her view" but the message is clear. If you are very sick, you had better haul your sorry self down to the K Hall regardless. God is not going to go out of his way to help you!

That is disgusting ! To say that God will not reach out to you if you cannot make their boring 2 hour meetings . Is the arm of their God so short? Does their God not care enough? The God that I always knew would have helped...

ArbolesdeArabia: ‘JW-Gone-Bad: what you are asking cannot be done, the Organization will implode.’ You got that right!

BluesBrothers: The WTS has been dishing out sugar pills for 130 years and counting ! "Just hold on untill 1914, or 1925, or 1975 or soon ,real soon, and all your troubles will be over"...

Forget the past 130 years! Many are dreading the 1,000 years to follow and then Satan is let loose and all hell breaks out again!!!

The more I think about it the more ‘adversity’ I feel! Thank you WT, but enough with the sugar pills!
