Ok, I am not a wiz at anything math related or investment related. I get a headache from having to understand legalese. I am i staight up handshake is my bond type. I heard a comment awhile back about the WTBTS investing in Companies that make weapons and cigarettes and other things. So..

    1) Is that true

    2) Is it really realistic for anyone including the WTBTS to avoid that kind of thing? How could they?

    3) If it is true, can someone easily explain what is going on.

I understand you all have your own lives so no pressure.

    Peace,

    DD

This isn't really something to focus on when exposing the WT IMO. when large companies invest, usually they use portfolios made up of thousands of prearranged companies. These companies were already put together into these portfolios prior to a company investing. It's a bit more complicated than that, but that's the basics. It's not like the wt picked out a tobacco company and decided to invest in them.

If we had to avoid eating hotdogs because of the remote possibility they contained blood fractions or byproducts, the WTS should make sure that not one single penny is invested in a portfolio that include companies involved with cigarettes or weaponry...Jehovah sees everything small or big....

Thanks INSEARCHOFTRUTH4! I see your point Christalone, and yours NVR2L8. They are God's chosen channel of divine communication! They should not even touch an unclean thing! What if I made all my money investing in weapons manufacturing? They would be on my A** in a heart-beat!!! What if I worked a bar?! What if had a business that sold boxes that were sold to businesses that sold pornography......... Ok, that was a stretch. You get my point!

DATA-DOG: I don't know who you can stand working in a factory that makes boxes for pornography. But you don't have to look at those pictures, you can cover your eyes or cover the picture while you're assembling the boxes and just don't look. Good jobs are hard to find. But if by chance you acidentally see a naked person and you get aroused, then you can always go home (or really anywhere) and masturbate, because that is what masturbation is for, to lower your sex urges when you find yourself aroused in in danger of fornication. (See 1 Thess 4:3-8). But can't you work in some other part of the factory that is not directly involved with the pornography?

Data-Dog, the Watchtower might not be aware they own a small investment in such anti-social companies, I read the SEC document and was not impressed with his style and picks. The Society could use investment managers from Fidelity with their "big money" or other firms that allow non-profits to invest in "Social Justice Funds", but compared ROI on funds investing in "Consumer Defense (Gilette, Phillip Morris, Kraft, BAT, Boeing), the return must not outweigh their desired investment goals.

With rumors we might as well spread "Watchtower is talking counter-positions to elderlys retirement vechiles via Goldman Sach's derivitive branch.

The small Hedge Fund that's posted on JWN is very comical, that's one brother and his crazy management style. The assets under his/their management is very tiney to the worth of the Watchtower Organization. I don't know why such a big deal is made of some lone-gun investing a few million dollars, it's very tiny in the Hedge Fund World. There are funds that won't allow you to invest unless you have a minimum initial investment of $5,000,000. The Watchtower Society is not concerned with pennies under management, I don't think this is "news worthy", if we are talking $500,000,000 involved in negative sectors, that's another story.
