So sad. It is unbelievably painful to be rejected by your family just because you don't agree with their religious beliefs. Give your son a big hug from me.

Wow! Just WOW! Aussie. What a stark contrast between a thoroughly indoctrinated cult member and those who are normal. Lucky for him he is 19 and able to start a NORMAL family and have a NORMAL life. On the other hand I feel so sorry for his mom for replacing her son with a cult. So sad for your family. But one normal parent is better than none.

IMHO the son should go to the school play, and make sure his siblings realise he is there, so that his mother cannot tell them he didn't care about them. She is probably already saying this to them, but if he were there, it would make her out to be a liar. He could also tell them how much he loves, cares and thinks about them regularly.

Plus, it would piss off his mom that he isn't playing by her rules.

While she no longer stresses me out, i do think from time to time about her. You know, when we were young marrieds and even into our 30s she seemed so normal and loving. She once stated how she just had to have children to raise because she had so much lover to give.

Now i see a shrew of a woman who has lost all maternal instinct. I have puzzled long and conclude that she is actualy losing her marbles. I thought that calling her bat shit crazy was a long stretch but the more I see them more i think it. I do believe the JWs are responsable for it as it promotes that very sort of mentality, the mentality that most people cant comprehend.

That`s very sad Aussie , the amazing thing is they beleive they have" love among themselves" or maybe that`s just it ,they have love ( conditional ) among themselves and hate everybody else.

They really have no clue as to what love is. Their old line of 'no one can truly love you unless they love Jehovah first'. Face it, he's the only one who's allowed to be shown any unconditional love... in fact, he demands it.

For everyone else, they can never be more important than 2nd place... and that's only when Jehovah () permits it.

That's Sucks Oz! Something about this religion is going to cause the Spanish Speaking Countries to dump this waste of time. Secular countries with little family values are quick to dump their kids, siblings, parents,ect.... with a gentle "invisible marking" from a "holy elder". Jehovah must want to puke when he sees how evil and twisted the Org is.

Ok, I am hearing how JWs are attempting to get their forces to move and pounce on the Chinese speaking people, how will the Witnesses attempt to destroy Three Thousand Years of Chinese Culture that teaches to "talk care of family", "respect your elderly and parents", "don't bring shame on your family being lazy, stealing or milking the system"?

I wish the JWs would release the "secret (not ready for public consumption material) material" for everyone to see they are preaching with! Their attempts to control, mold each person to obey the Borg, as we surrender our freedom for the "great good"

Oz--a similar thing is happening to my family. My1st jw (ex) wife is now shunnung our older son--hes now 36--d'f'd a couple of years back---and living with his fiancee--a lovely woman who is so supportive and understanding.

his jw (ex) wife has now prevented him seeing his 2 kids--although he has joint custody & spent thousands on legal fees. ( a case of history repeating itself )

ironicaly--his ex--and his mum--dont get on at all--in spite of living close by and attending the same kingdom hell. cant have 2 witches in the same coven!

he is so much better off being well out of it. he has a good job--earns good money and enjoys foreign holidays.

i'm so relieved hes out and happy--i was prevented fron seeing him for 25 years--but we are building bridges now,

now--for my other 2---------------
