That seems to be the only thing he is any good at.
God likes to see children get killed

"Can anyone explain this logic to me ?"
Two answers from my point of view:
1. Pointing out the crimes commited by the supposedly good god character in the story shows that it's most likely a fiction created by men.
2. Even if that god existed, these crimes show that it is not worthy of respect or worship.

Another case of not hearing the truth & nothing but the truth!
>
The first time that I held a bible in my hand and began a "study"
of the bible watchtower books, I was influenced to see only verses
that cast a righteous & loving lite on the god of the bible!
Even tho the book that was used was called "Let god be true".

It was almost 5 decades later that the TRUTH came out.

I read scripture that I hadn't rememberd reading before,
that disgusted me. The stories of rape ..usually virgins, vindictiveness,
mass murder and slaughter of innocent people.
>
All commanded by the bible god!
>
Yes I saw those ugly pictures in the Paradise book, but by then my mind
had been shut off to these actions of god and turned onto the evils of man,
and how we deserved only the death sentence ....& god was going to save us!
>
Isn't there a mental disease with a german name...muncheousen(sp)(help),
whereby this kind of person....usually a parent, makes the child sick only to
be seen as the one who finally saves the childs life and then stands there
as its savior!
>
Hitchens spoke of this "Made us sick & then commanded us to be well"
>
Just insane.

But even so, we don't actually know if he did indeed "like" seeing childred get killed. That is purely speculation.
Actually the existence of god is also entirely speculative. In fact, whenever we talk about god we are speculating. I see no problem here!

Seems like whenever the ancients wanted to bring relevance and power to their particular god they worshiped,
they spoke of their gods intently killing people from other tribes, including the ancient Hebrews.
Then these said gods were to cause earthquakes, fire and destruction upon those other tribes as well.

All it proves is that the Bible isn't inerrant. No 'God' who 'is love' would cause or condone the death of children. We can safely dismiss such ancient Bible stories as nothing but the words of men trying to attribute to God their own evil.
