The story takes up 2 pages in Womans own magazine and has a photo of the J/W father who abused his daughter.

    The story is entitled....
    "Church of shame"
    and starts.....
After being sexually abused for years by her father, Alison Cousins turned to her local church for help. But she was turned away and told to keep quiet. This is the harrowing story of her fight to be heard.

If your in the uk its in the shops now. go out and buy it. It is the March 25 issue.

I'm told that "Woman's Own" is the most widely read woman's mag in the UK, it appeals to women of 30+ with families. One thing is for sure, it's one of the few mags that witness women feel OK with, so this will put the cat amongst the pigeons as far as the sisterhood is concerned.

Thanks for the scan, Simon. How many more stories are like that, I wonder..

Shows how elders can remain elders....appointed by holy spirit..and yet be carrying on depraved behaviour. No spirit/guidance from God in the WT world.

I saw this in the Scottish Daily Record, when it first came out.
One of the sad things is that I know all of the elders involved.
I had a lot of respect for them, and know that they work hard in their congregations.
It's a crying shame that they put their duty to protect the borg ahead of their duty to protect the innocent!

Oh, btw, I think that the paedophile was a MS, not an elder.
    Still alledgedly "Spirit appointed", though.
