I can well understand why householders can't stand JWs and the litter they leave. It is also correct that many JWs are clueless and don't realize those No-Trespassing or No-Soliciting signs are for them and that people do NOT want to be pestered.
I was always mortified when I went out in service and now that I am out I have NO tolerance for anybody's intrusive visits of any sort.

Off course some hardcore witnesses might claim it is persecution. Still they need to realise it is not exactly persecution but that many people are fed up of their so called preaching and showing up at their doors.

No Soliciting signs do not apply to jws in the US; has been established legally. You must post a No Trespassing sign according to the laws in your area.
I don't know about the UK since they aren't governed by the US Constitution or the Supreme Court.
The WTS did have a letter read some time ago in the congregation not to violate No Trespassing signs and that they will be legally on their own. A brother in this area did it, was arrested, fined $278, and lost in court. jws around here are more careful since.
