Well, first don't consider it to be worldly....call it "normal" LOL
Ask people what they have accomplished in 2012, or what they have planned for 2013...
Did this myself at an Xmas party two weeks back, people luv, luv, luv to talk about themselves. I couldn't get away from a couple of em!

Thank you. Yes, I am going to a normal party.
I guess, I am saying quiet because it isn't a dancing party.
So I guess, we are going to sit around and "visit"?
They don't know my back ground and I want to keep it that way.
My mode of operation has always been to let/get the other person talk.
I am genuinely interested in people. I already know what's in my head. I like to know what makes other people tick-tock.

Oh Dear!
Most of my friends associate "cult" with extremist religious fanatics (think Jonestown & Manson). Take Dazed's advice only if you're okay with your potential friends becoming the friends you could've had.... LOL
