I got a Kindle Fire HD, a really nice big leather tote bag, some new pajamas, and some other little things. All in all a nice haul. Just Ron got all the Star Trek, Star Wars, and MAtrix movies in BluRay, plus a hunting blind and some new waterproof boots.
AAA membership renewall, perfume, jewelry, lotions and bath stuff, candy (which I will pass along) a couple of gift cards, and lots of nice memories.
Coffee
Lots of candy, new work shoes to replace my worn out ones, and just enough money so that my fiancee and I can actually pay rent and utilities for this coming month. Not too bad of a haul, considering.
Leopard jammies, two chenille throws, book on rocks and minerals , skull earrings and cigars, gift cards, starbucks mug and coffee, and Brizzy and I gave each other a ticket to see Eddie Izzard.
A lovely, non stressful Xmas this year. Hope I remember how to do it next year.
a day off.
Even though I wasn't a born in, I never really cared for Christmas
leopard jammies, huh?
Best gift was having hubby home for 3 1/2 days rather than the usual 36 hrs (he's a long-haul truck driver) Presents included a hard cover large sketch book, set of oil paints, set of good quality art brushes, acrylic paints, skulpting tools and the biggie...a Black &Decker skill saw which I so badly wanted, plus some other smaller gifts. We had a wonderful X-mas. -Leslie
Lifetime milestone event: a nice bottle of tequila from my now-legal-to-drink daughter.
My deist daughter also gave me a copy of "Mortality" by the late (
A pair of really warm house slippers, that unfortunately, don't quite fit and will have to be returned.
A bottle of Merlot and some wine charm thingies.
A year's subscription to JW.org.
Our family has agreed to not go all out at Xmas. We do think the "forced giving" thing is one thing the JWs got fairly right. Of course, forbidding to give on Xmas is also screwed up. If we're going to spend big bucks on someone, we save that for the individual's birthday.

I wish I could afford to get my wife a lump of coal like this:
Good thing for both of us she's really not into jewelry that much.
