Talking about "generations" it used to be that the new light gradually changed things so that previous "generations" would not recognise things as they are now.
The work is "speeding up" however. It can't be recognised after a gap of five years. 2014 may speed it up so that Dubs now won't recognise "present truth". Metamorphosis comes to mind, a butterfly turning into a caterpillar.

They will just emphasize this scripture more and more. They will say after 2014 that we appear to be in a period of 'delay' in fulfillment of Habakkuk 2:3, but that the one that endures to the end will be saved (Matt 24).
Some of the heavyweights at Brooklyn probably do believe the 'generation' is 120 years from 1914, which is an idea Russell himself actually postulated, but they will never risk making this official and creating another 1975 scenario.

The Watchtower has already been decreasing the amount of attention it gives to 1914 since the 1990s.

I agree Jeffro. When you think about it WT have been "grasping the nettle" recently. They look the R&F in th eye and tell them black is white and do so with a smile. The changes on blood, the generation and the F&DS were all unthinkable when they happened. All were swallowed whole by most dubs.
The last shiboleth is 607/1914. As soon as the spin doctor department can come up with a suitable lie to make everything more vague they will. You will hear it first right here.
