87 gun deaths per day? Even assuming that is correct, that amounts to 31,755 per year. It includes all gun deaths, from those caused by criminals that use guns (instead of bombs) to commit crimes, as well as accidental discharges and justified homicides.
How does that number compare with deaths from properly prescribed, properly administered prescription drugs? And mind you, not allergic reactions either or people accidentally taking the wrong doses or screw-ups with the prescription. Depending on the source, you will be quoted between 150,000 and 850,000 per year. Using the FDA's figures, closer to 150,000, you are looking at nearly 5 times as many prescription drug deaths as gun deaths per year. Shall we ban drugs from being prescribed?

You got a better way to randomly reduce the population than guns and cars?
Reminds me of the Star Trek episode TOS, where people would get into a disintegration chamber to satisfy the death count during a war so that they don't have to fire actual weapons to not have the buildings destroyed. Random reduction of the population.
Look at the bright side. IF people didn't die like that, they would have children and their children would have children and the population would be so out of control. Like we hear in talks about the evils of war and the millions who die. Well, if they didn't die, then their lives would produce evils. They would bring ruin to the earth, be a drunk driver, kill another in another way. Just a different fate.
What's the difference between people dying like this today and those 300, 600, 1000 years ago? Those ones would be dead by now already.
