Hi guys ,I hope you can help here .I'm currently researching the tower of Babel and the reasons for building it in the first place? Could it be that Nimrod had information or plans based on a pre-flood building ? bab+el=gate+god could it be an attempt to rebuild a pre-flood structure that served as the gates to the god's (whether materialised Satan+demons) or base of angels on earth ? Any of your personal research and quoatation of actual books will help me immensely,many thanks

Yes.
In the original state the earth had a fixed "sun" in the heaven made up of Saturn, Venus, and Mars. This is the original "trinity", father, mother, son. From the earth it gave the impression of the eye. Saturn was the bright outer disk, venus the colorful iris, and mars the dark pupil. This is where we get the idea of the "eye in the sky". Just below the earth raised up like a mountain, and then a beam of light connected heaven and earth, like a "ladder".
Eventually the heavens broke up in a spectacular (and terrifying) manner. The structure of pyramids is a callback to this. Neb's tower of babel was not to "touch the heavens" per say, but rather the top was "the heavens". It is an attempt to build a religious symbol of what was lost.
There are also echos of this in the Bible as well, especially in Revelation. Where "New Jerusalem" functions as a fixed sun above the holy mountain with a "stream" running down from it.
Many of our symbols today also refer back to this. The winged sun disk, the steeple and cross, the Christmas tree, the caduceus, the washington monument, and on and on...

Try Enoch 1. Maybe he was simulating Mt. Armon, which also could be another name for Mt. Hermon. This is what Enoch, 7:7-8 says:

LOL, here's my completely uninformed opinion, FWIW. The story of the Tower of Babel was written to explain why no mofo could understand each other when they talked, and since Genesis was written or re-written around the time of Babylon's conquest of Jerusalem; no doubt the Israelites had seen some of the ziggurats, and decided to write a story to explain them, and to lessen the awe they felt when they saw a properly engineered structure. Anything built out of mud would be most stable as a pyramid shape.

Ive seen an in a few books, which unfortunately i cant recall that the tower of Babel was nothing more than an astrological observation building. If you look at xian art throughout the past, you will find that the tower is often pictured with an zodiacal theme. The problem is of course we as modern people dont understand the symbology, colours and numbering used. For example each planet is assigned a different colour in this study and the tower of course matches this. Its also 7 levels to match the number of planetary bodies follwoed by the ancients. In practical terms its easy to understnd why they studied the stars, they needed to count time and they tried their best to guess the future by inventing gods and the zodiac.
We can see the same inthe Bible. The fact that 7 and 12 are everywhere is part of the proof. There is simply no other good explaination why it must be 7 and 12. The original 7 and 12 are of course the planets and the months.
