The Mankind Search for God book was absolutely studied in the book study. I have a copy with all my little notes as a good little teenager in it.
Also, I think you guys are downplaying the importance of the reasoning book. We had parts within the past year on using it, and it is the source material for number 3 talks still.

Nope, never used in the congregation book study.
Evidently it was utterly urgent to study the Revelation Climax book 6 or 7 times instead.
Maybe your notes were from the theocartic ministry school? I think it was used as the basis for talks for a while.
I second SIR82: Mankind's SFG was never studied at a Bookstudy, at least in the USA.

Last I remember they were still telling us we needed to be using the Reasoning Book and not be afraid to pull it out if we didn't know the WT approved answer to something. This was only a few years ago so I can't imagine much has changed.
Makind Search For God, don't ever remember seeing that in the bookstudy. Would have been a good thing to study. Instead we had to scare ourselves with the Revelation book to make sure we knew the end was oh so close.

^^^This part actually happened. I liked it more than most as well, as it exposed the circular reasoning necessary to believe in bullshit.
We did go through the search book in some way, possibly in the TMS.
On the matter of the reasoning book, I don't see this getting republished but I do see more use of electronic media.

I just checked our copies, still on the shelf, unmarked and judging by the creaking and cracking when opened, I would say unread.

I seem to remember studying it too but when I try to remember in whose house I can't .
