What happens if you do something bad when in the paradise

    Hi guys,

When I was younger and my mother was studying with me, she told me the following:

"Jaymes, After Armageddon, Satan and his demons will be locked away and we'll have 1,000 years to make the earth a paradise. After the thousand years, Satan and his demons will be released. Also, all the people that died will be resurrected.

"Satan will try really hard to make all the survivors of Armageddon, and all the newly resurrected ones turn against Jehovah. This will be the second test. Jehovah will destroy Satan, his demons, and all that turned against him.

"After the second test, we will all be perfect and will live forever in paradise."

I remember asking her two questions:

    1. What does being perfect mean?
    2. What happens if someone does something bad after the second test (when we're all perfect)?

Her answer to my first question was that being perfect meant that we couldn't ever do anything wrong anymore. Just like Jesus was perfect, we would be like him. Her answer to my second question was that I should revert back to her answer to my first question. When I pushed the issue, she said "If anyone does anything bad, Jehovah will kill them instantly, but Jaymes, no one will do anything bad as they will be perfect."

So my question to you is this - where did my mother get this information from? You see, she's not the only Jehovah's Witness to have ever said the exact same thing to me. Is this amazing piece of information in a Watchtower or a book? Please let me know as I am writing a blog post about this on my blog - www.JehovahsWitnessBlog.com and need to know.

    Warm regards,
    Jaymes

The JW answer is that perfect means without sin or blemish, not suffering from Adamic sin, since one would still have free will, one could choose to do wrong even though perfect ... Adam and Eve were perfect, Satan and the demons were perfect ... choosing to sin once in paradise and perfect would merit you an instant forfeiture of life since the court case of Universal Sovereignty had been settled ... Jesus ransom covered inherited Adamic sin, not willful sin of the restored perfect human race

The Watchtower God is a mean s.o.b when anyone misbehaves- one slip and you're a goner, lol. Here's some BS from the book 'From paradise lost to paradise rgained'(1958) pg 237:

9 Those who come forth to a “resurrection of judgment” will be judged during the thousand years of Christ’s reign. Everyone who is alive on earth will receive great blessings during that time, but some of the people who are resur-rected for judgment, or some who are born as children to the people who live through Armageddon, still may refuse to serve God. Anyone who refuses to obey God’s kingdom after a long-enough trial will be put to death. His death could not be blamed on anyone else, but would be only because he had willfully refused to obey God. Such a one is sentenced to destruction before the end of the thousand-year reign of Christ Jesus.

You can never be safe when there is a homicidal maniac God on the loose...

Sorry to inform you, but your mother was wrong. Paradise will me like one big never ending District Assembly, with breaks to build houses and pet tigers ofcourse. It will be the same shit just without 5.3 billion non-JW's getting in the way.

If you do something bad, you will still get hauled before a judicial committe. The only difference is instead of getting df'd, you will get a rock to head.

the whole thing is based on adam and eve - they were perfect and tested for obedience and took the taboo fruit, ate and were doomed to death.....so in the new world, the idea is that every human will have to pass a test like adam and eve.....but instead of living on 900 some-odd years and peopling the planet, those people will be put out of the way immediately, since there will be no reason to keep them in existence. then - after everyone is perfect and the demons are cut loose - again, more devilish influences only on perfect people who won't have our current sinful desires.....it's all about culling out any of the species who don't live up to the standard.

Bear in mind that all of this Bible interpretation comes from the same organization that taught Jesus would return in 1874, then changed it to 1914, then said Armageddon would come in 1914, and the resurrection of the dead in 1925.

Then they asked JWs why they were looking forward to 1975 and subsequently blamed them for running ahead of Jehovah because they had expected something important to happen in 1975.

Then in 1995 they came up with overlapping generations to explain why Armageddon still hasn't arrived.

Ding, you missed a couple of explanations, overlap was introduced in 2010.

Why have a trial? Why not the Ananias and Sapphira procedured, judged by the holy spirit (supposedly) and executed on the spot. Why not the Korah procedure? At a circuit assembly when I was about 15, there was a little playette about a young couple that had been resurrected into the new system (no sex or living together) that were talking about how great it was, but then the reality sunk in and they started "complaining." Then the WTS simulated lightning and they both dropped dead.

    ACTS 5

1However, a certain man, An?a?ni′as by name, together with Sap?phi′ra his wife, sold a possession 2and secretly held back some of the price, his wife also knowing about it, and he brought just a part and deposited it at the feet of the apostles. 3But Peter said: “An?a?ni′as, why has Satan emboldened you to play false to the holy spirit and to hold back secretly some of the price of the field? 4As long as it remained with you did it not remain yours, and after it was sold did it not continue in your control? Why was it that you purposed such a deed as this in your heart? You have played false, not to men, but to God.” 5On hearing these words An?a?ni′as fell down and expired. And great fear came over all those hearing of it. 6But the younger men rose, wrapped him in cloths, and carried him out and buried him.

Thanks Blondie (and everyone else), but is there an actual book or magazine article that tells JW's that after the final test, they will be put to death if they put a foot wrong?

    Regards,

Can't help you with an article.

My JW husband, who had normal parents, holds on to the hope that they will be resurrected in to a perfect paradise. I have challenged him that his parents would never go along with the Witness agenda. They are both too independent, contrary. I said the first time someone told Papa go out in the orchard and pick fruit, he'd pull out a cigar and smoke it. Zap! No more papa.

Hubby holds on to the hope that everyone will be perfect and disputes and conflict of all kinds will be gone. I don't know why he looks forward to this. He starts more controversy than anyone I know.
