  I was sitting at the computer reading posts at JW.net when the spousal unit told me she got me something special.

  "You're really going to like these cookies." Then she put the plate in front of me.

  Actually, she's the one who introduced me to "spousal unit" by referring to the impending visit of her folks as the "semi-annual parental unit infestation."

  I switch between "spousal unit" and "female cohabitant."
