serenitynow!--She seems awesome. Of course, sanctions have been imposed on our dealings since the 2011 Facebook Flaming Incident, so...much as I like her, that probably is a bit of wishful thinking.

elderelite--The one elder I might actually like. Maybe one day we'll have a cold one together...

Nuthouse escapee--Because she accepts me despite my being a doormat. That's all I can ask for.

Like, a lot of other people in the UK. In part because they have cool accents. So I always imagine their posts with a cool British accent. Australian accents are also cool, so...anyone from Australia, also.

So many people I've traded messages with, just because. Well, I could go through my old PMs and just about anyone who has ever PM'd me would be on that list.

As for me, I'd love to meet any ex-jw, but at the top of my list:

sd-7, cs the apostate, empty inside, Cult Classic and her husband, Noni, New Chapter. elderelite, crazy blond b, can'tleave and nugget, Flipper, Mrs. Jones, Beks, Outlaw, Mouthy, and Mary. Oh, and Palm Tree and AnneB, Onedayi'llbe free, SerenityNow, Punk, TotallyADD and his wife. There are a few others, but I can't remember their screen names, only their real names.

Edited to add: Theocratic Sedition, Lady Lee, Scully, and Simon and Angharad.

At the Apostafests in the past I've met a great many from the Board and invariably they've been among the nicest, most pleasant and intelligent of people.

In fact, they are more "normal" than your average citizen.

If you put Ex-JW's in a room with active true-believers from a Kingdom Hall nobody would be able to tell the difference.

Now that is an inadvertant insult to the Ex-JW's, I know--but, I don't mean it that way.

What I mean is this.

JW's are so holier-than-thou they think once you are DF'd or DA'd you turn into some kind of creepy degenerate like bad casting from Reefer Madness!

Not so!

Nothing ostentatious or anti-social looking about Apostates as a group at all, however.

You'd trust any of them to watch your laptop while you use the bathroom and expect to return and find it still sitting there:)

What IS GREAT about meeting others from this board is that they are the ONLY people who can understand you internally for the

mental scars that religion has scraped into your psyche. They and they alone "get it."

I have met so many and they have all been awesome. I would love to meet Flipper, Blondie and Leolia but also leavingwt, Terry, SD7 and so many more. I have always been delighted by the connections we have and the impact just talking to one another can have. I have enjoyed watching how things turned out for others such as coffeehousegirl and timothyt and would love to have a laugh and share experiences with them.

I also would love to meet Outlaw too he manages to find the humour in just about anything and of course Simon.

There are many more and I look forward to ever increasing my circle of friends.
