col 1:15-18 the word other is added 4 times, heb 1:2 they change the word last days, heb 11:13-16 add the word belonging, compare rev 1:8 to phil 2:11 in rev to change the word lord to jehovah,its the same as in phil ,hiding the fact that jesus is jehovah. i can give you alot more,but heres a start

Well, the NT was translated from Greek so any use of Jehovah (Hebrew YHWH) is an insertion. Here's every reference to "Jehovah" in the NWT New Testament. You can compare yourself with an interlinear.

There's also the doctrinal problem of whether Jesus is fully God. We are to worship God and no other. Problem is, there are plenty of NT verses where people worshipped Jesus. The NWT does an end-run around this problem by translating worship to "obiesance". Again, you can check an interlinear to compare.
Mat_2:2 saying: "Where is the one born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when [we were] in the east, and we have come to do him obeisance."
Mat_2:8 and, when sending them to Beth'le·hem, he said: "Go make a careful search for the young child, and when YOU have found it report back to me, that I too may go and do it obeisance."
Mat_2:11 And when they went into the house they saw the young child with Mary its mother, and, falling down, they did obeisance to it. They also opened their treasures and presented it with gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
Mat_8:2 And, look! a leprous man came up and began doing obeisance to him, saying: "Lord, if you just want to, you can make me clean."

THe NWT is OK when it comes to most of the OT but it is a mess in terms of the NT.
Too much has been edited and translate to accomodate JW doctrine.

ALL translations have some bias somewhere. It is inevitable in a book as big and all-over-the-map (theologically) as the Bible.
The NWT has its bias too, in the areas where Freddy Franz wanted to make a distinction between JW doctrine vs. "Christendom's": the divine name, the trinity, the immortality of the soul, hellfire.
In other areas, where he didn't care to make such a distinction, the NWT is probably half-decent.

Absolutely.
Many words in greek and hebrew can have more than one meaning so it is quite easy and even correct to choose which meaning a translator wants to convey based on his own "presuppositions" ie: His own Theology and doctrines.
I have the NWT and the NASB and the NRSV and the Jerusalem and the NIV and the Message bible and the ESV.
I used them all.

Yes, the nations certainly will drink Jehovah’s rage. They have no choice. After all, if his own people going to drink of it, the nations certainly will. However, when will he make his own people drink of this cup? Jehovah makes it quite clear when, saying:
“For, look! it is upon the city upon which my name is called that I am starting off in bringing calamity, and should you yourselves in any way go free of punishment ? You will not go free of punishment, for there is a sword that I am calling against all the inhabitants of the earth,' is the utterance of Jehovah of armies.””
The answer to our original question, 'Does the servitude begin when Jerusalem is destroyed?' has been right here all along – in the very same chapter where the 70 years of servitude is mentioned. After stating that Judah will become a devastated land, and that the nations will serve Babylon for 70 years, did you notice that the starting point of the 70 years is directly pinpointed?
Jehovah is “starting off” with “the city [upon] which my name is called”, that city, of course, being Jerusalem. Only when that city meets calamity will the 70 years for all the nations begin. It does not say the calamity starts upon the countryside of Judah, as some claim. Nor does not say it begins with a mere exile. It starts off in the city of Jerusalem, and it is “a sword that I am sending among you.”
The calamity of Jerusalem is the “starting” point, and from that point onward the nations will not remain “free of punishment”. For sure, “Jerusalem” will drink the cup first, but all the other nations must drink the cup and serve the King of Babylon too. Can it get any clearer than this?
What does this mean? It means 587 cannot be the date of Jerusalem’s destruction. As you know, 587 to 537 is only 50 years. On the other hand, 607 to 537 is exactly 70 years.
Lets look at the following translations of Jeremiah 25:29 that show how they twist scripture. Can anyone back up a comment from a Greek or Hebrew translation ??? ?
