I'm still very much in and don't really have a way out at the moment. I have a group of friends I love very much and wouldn't want to lose, and that combined with my mom and sister who are 'strong JWs' is what keeps me in. Like you I'm in the process of doing allot of research and am also reading COC. I'm in college but living at home. Nice to know i'm not alone :)
Anyone here who is still a Jehovahs Witness and havent given up yet, Please answer me!

Welcome Vienna,
It's tough to let go of the thought that it is God's Organization and it just needs some refinements, I held on to that for a while.
I finally had to recognize for myself that it never was what I thought it to be, therefore, it never would become what I hoped it would.
The Organization isn't broken, it is what it is, it will change for no one, it will only adapt as needed to hold on to the false idea that it is God's Organization.
Congratulations on reading Crisis of Conscience, it was a great first step.
Best wishes.

What most JWs don't realize is they can give up on the organization without giving up on Jehovah.
My advice is carry on with discernment. No earthly agent is the master of your faith, no governing body, no organization. Subject yourself to Jehovah through Christ Jesus our King...study the BIBLE as much as you can, PRAY, PRAY, PRAY, love your familly and the congregation even if they are fooled by the visual appearance of godly devotion put out by the False brothers leading the organization. Don't let anyone or anything take away the love you have for Jehovah and of course the worldwide brotherhood (even while they are fooled by this internal apostasy).
Being aware of the massive stumbling that the WTBTS organization has become accountable for is what we have to keep reminding ourselves of. They are accountable to Jehovah (1Peter 4:17) and He is keeping track...Jehovahs patience (2Peter 3:9)will only last so long...long enough to let each accountable individual show who they really worship...it's either worship Jehovah God or the demon backed apostasy that has hi-jacked the legal entity.
Whoever is now controling the legal entity, the "tool", which was originally set up to be used by Ambassadors substituting for Christ....well plain and simple, they are not using it for the right purpose and they are not now the real Ambassadors substituting for Christ. . Jehovah is going to have an accounting with them in a most profound way...making a statement not only to Jehovahs Witnesses but the entire world.

Dear Vienna,
I'm an active MS in a congregation and in good standing. While I disagree with a significant amount of the teachings of the GB, I still see no reason enough to leave. I may dislike the leadership, but I love the "sheep" :) Besides I got family in the "truth" so that complicates matters. ALso, all my friends, people I really love and care for, are there. I would be a bit lost if I'd leave, honestly.

Welcome Vienne, as former JWs I hope we can help those who are losing faith to direct them to the TRUTH that is in the person of Christ and not doctrines and teachings of men.
Shalom

This is almost my situation exactly. The teachings of the GB that I know are wrong are significant enough for me to know that the religon is not the truth. Brothers and sisters have been thrown out of the org for disagreeing with 1914, a speculative date used to promote urgency with no foundation in scripture.
There are many more things the GB teach that is just interpretation of the bible and should not be taught as truth. The GB fit Matthew 23.
I can't go witnessing anymore, after waking up to the truth. I considered it, just to avoid the wierd social situations where being inactive is like having a severe disability or sickness and everyone has pity for you and judges you. But no, no more witnessing for me ever again.
What makes it really come to a head is when you have children. I have young children and I have to either raise them in what I no is a lie, or I have to do what I feel is correct and best for them. I can't do it. I missed out on playing sport and pursuing interests and I don't want my kids to do the same.
It really is a mess of a situation when all your freinds and family are in but you become aware of the truth. I resent the governing body for their ridiculous shunning policies that have turned so many people's lives to crap. If I speak what I feel, I would be df'd and my kids would miss out on seeing there grandparents.
There is no easy solution or easy way out for myself and for others. You sell your life for the cause and if you want to leave the GB will make sure you leave with some scars.
