Leolaia's post got me to check out something. I do not have here an original NWT Greek Scriptures volume, but the c/d rom proves her point.

NWT translates it "mental regulating"......because, "brainwashing" would just be too obvious.

Don't the Witness teach that we have free will? We can make a conscious choice to follow Jesus. If he regulates our minds, how do we make any choice.
It is convenient to change scripture when it does not conform to your teachings.
