The Coming Suicides

  I continue to predict that there will be an increase of suicides
  and other tragedies related to the huge amount of mental and
  emotional illness among JW's.

  The scary place to watch will be Japan

  Chances are good that Japan's economy will collapse in the next
  two years - their population is aging, their economy is
  contracting, and their banking system is breaking down.
  There already have been stories of Witnesses taking their own lives
  in that country.

  As the Watchtower claims their flock, with endless demands on their
  time and money, THEY HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY for these folks.
  To the extent that they fail to prepare for these hard times,
  they will share in the bloodguilt. Too many sad, afflicted
  brothers and sisters live life looking for 'pie in the sky'
  that has never arrived in 120 years.

  I feel you are very correct in your assumptions, but I feel it necessary to note something.

  Suicides may perhaps be encouraged by economic circumstances, but much of suicides related to Jehovah Witness youths is actually based upon feeling of inadequacy and guilt for not living up to standards or fear of being publicly shamed. Public shaming/shunning can relate a highly upsetting state of emotional turmoil. Then to boot, you have to make a go of it alone. The whole disgracing a person's character and announcing their name to everybody is enough, let alone cutting them off from civilization to make them feel like a diseased animal that nobody wants near them is even more.

  Disfellowshipping was the root of my doubts of the WT in general. It sickens me and I wish, honestly wish, their were rules against this sort of thing put in place in a political sense. How is this love? I feel something NEEDS to be done about this. It is not morally sound.

  I agree, as time goes on, & more of the "hold-outs" see the cracks in the Borg's facade, the numbers my indeed rise.

  I see it this way, the dubs have been told they are in a "race for life", & thats true, but its race on an oval track & they will end up at the starting point, no prize,no glory, just a wasted journey & a wasted life!

  Indeed, as I have pointed out many times, Japan is tottering on the edge of the abyss. But, when the Japanese financial system blows out, and it's only a matter of time, then, more than likely, that's it for the whole global system. There's no way the dollar could hold up in the face of a Japanese banking collapse. The Japanese hold over a trillion dollars worth of U.S. paper and such, so at some point in order to save themselves they will have to cash out. That makes America ground-zero for the financial blowout. More than likely it would simply be the end of the present system---both financial and political and then we get into a new phase of the end. Going forward it's a given that apostates and disfellowshipped losers will continue to go on homicidal/suicidal rampages. Especially when the system finally blows, when you come to the awful realization that all is lost and that you have been hoodwinked by the demons, then we can expect a massive blood-letting orgy to ensue. It is going to get very interesting----SOON! / You Know

  I think the Japanese have alot to deal with. They have such a rich heritage & culture ingrained in their everyday life. Everything has a meaning, beauty, connection. The JWs destroy all this, try to westernize and in the process one is left feeling truly isolated. Honor & respect is a very important part of their lives and the WT has neither of these qualities. It is a conflict of interest that eventually catches up.

  That's total nonsense. The Watchtower has not "westernized" Japan. The Japanese have made great efforts to adopt western ideas and culture on all levels of their society. Jehovah's Witnesses have had nothing to do with that transformation. / You Know
