I think the Watchtower fits the bill. And to some degree, many fundamentalists could fall into this category.

Absolutely and justifiably so.
This religious organization has been selling doom in their pieces of literature now for over a century .

"They announced that the world had in fact ended in 1914, and if the rest of us hadn't noticed, that was our lookout. It is astonishing in the face of such transparent evasions that this religion has any adherents at all. But religions are tough. Either they make no contentions which are subject to disproof or they quickly redesign doctrine after disproof. The fact that religions can be so shamelessly dishonest, so contemptuous of the intelligence of their adherents, and still flourish does not speak very well for the tough-mindedness of the believers. Any religious outfit that worships a god called "Jehovah" are automatically doomsday cults. Because that name is just a conjoining of two Hebrew words.
No, it isn't.

No, it isn't.
It's too large a coincidence to ignore. Ancient liars never accounted for the internet which came like a thief in the night. As Luke Skywalker puts it, "Your overconfidence is your weakness."

Yea, it would be accurate to add em, but good luck keeping em in there. Everytime you put JWs in bad light (even if true) on a wiki page, it mysteriously, and quickly, gets revised.
They're Scientologists Light when it comes to that stuff

As Luke Skywalker puts it, "Your overconfidence is your weakness."
"Your faith in your friends is yours."
"It is pointless to resist, my son."
But to answer the question, absolutely. It may seem like an extreme label, but clearly it's a cult, and clearly it's centered around the expectation of an imminent doomsday scenario. Ergo, doomsday cult.

Entirely Possible- Just get a Strong's Concordance and look on page 32 of the Hebrew & Chaldee Dictionary towards the back Item/Line # 1942 & 1943 then go to this link:
