What's wrong with allowing doctors to say "You were brainwashed by a death cult...."

Thankfuly the answer is easy, we dont judge or tell anyone anything. The medical-law says that if a patient has capacity and autonomy, then we follow their instructions. If not we act in their best interests until we can find someone that can act/speak for their autonomy.

If a parent puts a child's life at risk, we will defend the child's right to autonomy and via the court give life saving treatment.

I have NO idea what you are talking about. Telling people our opinion of their beliefs is not our job. Thats your job as the patient!

So what if doctor's decide YOU can't be trusted with your children until you are released from the control of the Christian death cult?

I spoke to a scientist in my community a few weeks ago. He has been a counselor for many years and has had many run ins with the Society. He told me a story where a father had a son who was trying to commit suicide and was in the hospital. The counselor begged for the father to seek aid for his son outside of the Society, but he wouldn't. The man told him straight to his face that he'd rather his son kill himself. That's the Watchtower for you. They create an environment where kids die, simple as that. It's not an "oops" thing.

If I told a doctor that my beliefs are more important to me than my child's life then that doctor has a responsibility to sound an alarm. That parent is mentally imbalanced and it shows through the choices they make. That mental imbalance is a result of a systemic effort of death cults who rob people of their self confidence so that blood sacrifices can be made to their fake gods. I see no problem with taking kids away from dangerous parents. If a parent is strung out on meth, you take the kid. If the parent is allowing their children to die needlessly on an operating table because of a chapter in Acts, you take the kid.

Christianity is a death cult. Are you advocating having your own child removed from you?

Yet, you have the means to with your understanding of the human brain. When the patient is mind controlled a different set of rules apply. This is a TRUTH that has no reflection in modern law.

Christianity isn't organized. You are wrong.

Christianity is a death cult whether you like it or not. It exists on oceans of past, current and future spilt blood.

Speaking of which, I can't wait to donate some atheist blood soon to help others.

    Christianity is a death cult.

Cults by definition are organized, Christianity isn't. You are wrong, again.

It was organized from the get go. Dishonesty about your own religion doesn't help your case. There were elders, neophytes and congregations from the beginning. It's an organized death cult built on the corpses of brainwashed innocents.

Christ never said to start an organization. He said to preach the good news of his Kingdom, which he specifically said wasn't on earth. Hence, NO organization. Calling Christianity a cult is just a misunderstanding of the nature of the religion. It's just connected to one man who died and is now a Spirit. Many claim to be the only representatives of that Spirit, but that just shows us who the bad guys are. Don't be decieved.

This scientist/counselor (?) should not be discussing cases with you, especially as you were from the same religious community as the patient.

"If I told a doctor that my beliefs are more important to me than my child's life then that doctor has a responsibility to sound an alarm."

You have just described every JW parent.

What do you want the doctor / society to do ? Thankfully if a medical parental decision endangers a childs life doctors can step in via the court.

Sab: How consistant are you on this matter you seem so passionate about? Do you believe Abraham was evil for taking Issac to the mountain to kill him as I do?

Instead of putting responsibility on the doctors, why not accept people have to educate themselves more and question their beliefs. I was brought up as a JW, of course I do not compare it to being raped and being to blame. Don't be so silly and distasteful too. However when you came of age , you either decided to stay or go. I myself beleive I would have been kicked out of the family house had I dared to question at a younger age, obviously an influence. But I am still frustrated with myself for staying so long. I know I was ignoring questions and doubts.

People have to take responsibility for their actions and parents are responsible for their children.
