What was the trial over the original suit or court case?
Crazyguy - Douglas Walsh was an 18 year old pioneer in Scotland. He was also the Congregation Servant! He got his call up papers for military service and the WTS decided to appeal against it as he was a 'Minister'
The WTS lost the case, the appeal and the Hose of Lords appeal.
I think the only reference to the case in WTS literature is a small reference in the book "Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose"

PS I have often wondered what happened to Douglas Walsh. Someone on here suggested he had emmigrated to Canada.

His wife turned up at our mother's JW funeral in 2010 here in Shropshire. I was later told that they lived in the UK Midlands.
tim hooper - That is very interesting, I wonder if anyone on here knows him well enough to ask for his thoughts on the trial and what subsequently happened to him. He will be coming up to 80 now so the time frame for anything like that is fairly limited.
Many thanks
