Maybe Smiddy meant the actual information, the knowledge or fact per se, rather than who gave it or who said what?
It would be a huge and probably tedious task. Only a very methodical and patient person could do it,
That rules me out, for a start!

Chariko Any person who took this task on would have to rewrite every post they wanted to use to make it their own. You can't just take the text and use it and ignore the original poster. See my post above abot someone posting an essay I wrote on a porn site. They took the actual information, removed my name and posted it without my permission which I never would have given.
see http://fairuse.stanford.edu/Copyright_and_Fair_Use_Overview/chapter0/index.html for more info
Good Lord - I just meant there was no reason to take this to the point of the seriousness of a discussion with your doctor about your immenent demise.
I have a scrap book for my own personal use and I take a screen shot of text with my notes along side their text all as an image. Not sure if that would still be classed as breaking copywrite but as I don't plan on selling it they won't ever know.
I just like collating evidence against them.
The biggest problem with producing a book based on what's posted here is that, well, its already posted here. Anybody that wants to, can read stuff to their heart's content here, they don't need to buy a book to do so. Even if you obtained permission to reprint posts a publisher won't touch it because the same material is already available for free.
james Since the women in my family live well into their 90s I expect to be around for at least another 25-30 years so I won't be talking to my Dr quite yet.
amelia personally I have no problem with people printing things out for thier own use. That is why I post. It is always wise to add the link where you got the info from just in case you need to find it again for some reason
WOW !
james_woods ,Charikio , i guess you both had a feel for what I was getting at ,on the one hand it sounded like a good idea at the time , and on the other hand it certainly would be an enormous task for somebody , however lady lee`s input was enlightening to say the least ,something I hadn`t considered .I thank you all for your comments .

One of the things I did on this board was to create the section "The Best of..."
Much of it doesn't work at the moment using the links in the section. But Simon has provided this http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/best-of that should enable you to read any of the topics
It was a massive undertaking and was not completed before we switched from a .com to .net. They will be accessible again when we revert to the .com format
So the information is available to anyone who wants to go through them.
Sheeeshh , thanks lady lee ,thats opened up a whole new avenue I can explore ,does everybody else know about this ? ADVT.ADVT.ADVT.

It has been posted on the board several times
