Great article! Thank you jwfacts.
For me your site was, together with Alan Feuerbachers articles about the flood, the biggest help to release myself from four decades of indoctrination.

Great article jwfacts.
Great article Paul!
What are your thoughts on a paragraph about religion (which could link to a page with more details)?
In Rutherford's books "Religion" and "Enemies" (and associated material) it is clear the Watchtower taught that all religion is a snare and a racket.
The Watchtower suddenly changed this position around 1950 when they chose for legal expedience to become the so-called "true religion". At the centre of this saga is Hayden C Covington's breathtaking swindle and abuse of the legal system where he falsely represented the Watchtower as legally defending and establishing the "Good News".
However the Watchtower more recently wrote as if it was their and Rutherford's position all along that only "false religion" is a snare and a racket.
Rutherford did not distinguish between "true religion" and "false religion". All religion was bad according to him.
(Why do followers of the Watchtower religion call themselves “publishers of the Good News” whilst unfamiliar with the “Good News” according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms?)
Speaking of the "Faith in Action" video, has anyone noticed the part where C.T.R is shown typing (or writing, I am not sure) while in the background you can see the actual article scrolling down. You actually can see 606 B.C. Moments later there's a time line with 607 BCE as the starting point for the seven times prophecy. A mistake? An undercover apostate?
That's really good stuff.
Someone might dismiss a lot of that as old light, so I am going to suggest a couple current teachings that are downright deceptive.
The first one is in the Bible Teach book, on page 183 it says your baptism is a dedication to Jehovah God, and not to "a work, a cause, other humans or an organization". Compare that to the second baptism question and take your pick of the many recent rants about obeying the slave.
The other item would be to pull a quote about how no collection is ever taken, and compare to the November Watchtower begfest article asking you for your stocks, jewelry and estate, and the charitable planning brochure.
Both of these items are current teachings that they bait and switch you with.
