My visit yesterday to the congregation

  Because my brother-in-law did the sunday talk in the congregation, we were invited to come to the congregation.

  It was 3 months ago we showed our faces there.

  When we entered the hall some witnesses said hello. Most of them did a far away look away.

  I walked to the counter for taking the 2013 calender, the daily text book and much magazines the local clown elder (he was dressed in purple), talked to me with a loud voice "Welcome! Nice to see you again. So good that you're whole family is here. Go on this way!". I told him "We will see".

  Then I walked to our seats and the CBE walked with a big hurry to me and asked "We want to make an apointment with you". I smiled to him with a very very big smile and he said "No, we only want to encourage you...".

  The talk of my brother-in-law was not bad. The Watchtower study was idiot and everything i'm against.

  The rest of the day was good. The entire family was pleased because we visited the congregation.

  Pfff.

  I trust you didn't let them make an "appointment" for "encouragement".

  I'm with. Robert. You're a bigger person when you can put your baggage down and simply be a boost to a good person's life.

  You were sweet to go just to hear your brother in law's talk. At least you got to visit with your family afterwards.

  I assume that in the 3 months you were away and they do not call to "encourage" you... but as soon as someone puts their feet in the hall they get love-bombed.

  You sit in your seat and the CBE comes straight to you with his "appointment" request.

  Give a person some breathing room. That would make me not want to ever walk back in again. You might consider that.

  I have to visit the family next month (I'm living away now, yay!) and they have no idea I'm fading.

  Must live with them and hence attend all the WT's, CBS'S, FS (I'll just drag my feet), and Family BS (gag)

  It is strange how the family seem to want us to maintain some sort of link to it all, "Just come along and listen"...."But you would not miss the Memorial?"...I guess it keeps hopes alive that we will hear something so wonderful at the meeting that we will be transformed back into believing dubs..Truth is that the meetings these days are so scripted, so badly delivered that it would be test of any faith one had ,rather than a boost.

  Of course the official teaching is that we are first in line for the execution by the angels but real Witnesses do not always want to believe that.
