Its sad how the WTS is appearing pretty frequently in the media in Victoria for pedophile cases when comapred to the RCC, especially given the much larger number of the laters churches and attendance.

would love to see the 'more than 3 yrs ago' rule applied to the r&f witnesses ... such bastards they are! is it any wonder why there is so much animosity towards them?

All the more relevant due to recent press coverage.
Some points to note for lurkers:
- This child abuser was appointed as an elder. According to JWs, elders are appointed by holy spirit.
- He only stepped down after she confronted him and it all came out.
- One of the questions asked of you before you are appointed as an elder is "Have you ever been involved at any time in the past with child sexual molestation?"
So either the elder lied when he answered no to that question, or the elders (via the holy spirit) knowingly appointed a man with a history of child abuse. -

I have an update on this- Richard Hill’s court case is currently being heard in the magistrate’s court in Heidelberg. The victim has given evidence in a close court and The hearing is now adjourned after full 3 days to be heard at a later date.
The Victim knows there is possibly another victim out there as it was reported to 2 particular elders at the time but never recorded due to the 2-witness rule.
