I don't remember the exact scripture, but, the return of the Son of Man, Jesus will do the judging of who is worthy, or not during the last days.

This is because only he can read the hearts of individuals . It's not whether you are baptised as a JW, are a JW, are a pioneer, irregular/regular publisher, DF'd or, under restrictions.

When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, there were other nations that came along and were invited.

So then QB, that would mean the odd situation of maybe over a billion non beleivers to be quickly converted and told not to fornicate etc...?

It just all falls apart under the light of logic to me.

I have to say, I normally toed the JW line on everything as a believer, but I don't think I ever believed for a minute that people who hadn't heard the message would be destroyed. I always assumed that they would make it into the new system alive if they hadn't had an opportunity to show whether they were a sheep or goat (why destroy someone then resurrect them five minutes later?). I'm surprised that the Society still doesn't seem to be saying this anywhere in their literature, as any other answer seems ridiculous.

No Comotose. I don't want to make a prediction of how and what will happen during that time. The scripture about not completing the circuit until the son of man comes means that not all will be approached with the message. The judgment will go on based on the heart condition.

"Told not to fornicate, eh?" Is that only what JW's talk about?

And...then said that the new JW.org website will surely play a part in spreading the message earthwide.

www. it IS the WORLDWIDE web after all. See? It's now been preached worldwide. Prophecy fulfilled. (It must be true, it's on the internet!)

So if Jesus is going to judge peoples hearts, why the need for the preaching work?

Actually, their web site is an ace in the hole in this matter. They now have a means of widespread 'preaching' without talking directly to the 'hearers'. In fact, one might well wonder why, after using means of mass communication in their early days such as radio and sound cars, they pulled back and relied mainly on direct contact.

Funny how they won't tell that to rank and file JWs though...gotta keep them busy doing non-productive things.

That is the point, Splash . The actual policy teaching of the WTS (as distinct from what a lot of them actually believe) is that only those active dedicated J W's (and their little children ) will survive Armageddon and be saved :

"...the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”—1 Timothy 2:4.

To that end, Jehovah has wisely made sure that the “good news of the kingdom” is proclaimed far and wide, in hundreds of languages. People everywhere are being given the opportunity for survival and salvation. (Matthew 24:14; Psalm 37:34; Philippians 2:12) Those who respond favorably to the good news can survive Armageddon and live forever in perfection on a paradise earth. (Ezekiel 18:23, 32; Zephaniah 2:3; Romans 10:13) Is this not what one would expect from a God who is love?—1 John 4:8."

    Wt 02 3/1 p31

How, then, can anyone be saved in “the great and fear-inspiring day of Jehovah”? “The word of Jehovah” revealed to one of his prophets provides the answer to that question: “It must occur that everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will get away safe.” (Joel 1:1; 2:31, 32) Jehovah’s Witnesses will be happy to help you learn what it means to call on the name of Jehovah.

    Wt 89 1/15 p20

20 By our works, we can show that “we belong to Jehovah.” Why, salvation depends on working faithfully as his dedicated slaves! (Romans 6:20-23; 14:7, 8) In ancient times, slaves were often marked on the forehead. By the preaching work today, the antitypical ‘man clothed in linen’—the remnant of Jesus’ anointed followers—is ‘marking’ those who will survive the end of this system. In this work the anointed are assisted by their associates, the “other sheep.” (Ezekiel 9:1-7; John 10:16) And what is the “mark”? It is the evidence that we are dedicated to Jehovah and are Jesus’ baptized disciples who have a Christlike personality.

21 Especially now is it vital that we have the “mark” and retain it, for we are deep into “the time of the end.” (Daniel 12:4) To be saved we must ‘endure to the end’ of our present life or of this system. (Matthew 24:13) Only if we thus remain faithful as witnesses of Jehovah will baptism save us.

It is interesting to note that they are using the website jw.org as an excuse to say that the message is being preached in all the earth. I can imagine the reasoning....'just like early radio broadcasts our website is taking the message to lands that are beyond our physical reach, even developing countries and where our work is banned. If Jehovah's sheep are there we can be sure that the angels will direct them to our site. Who knows how many groups may already be meeting and discussing what they have learned???'

    Yeah right!

Al Gore invented the Internet. So that means Jehovah used him so the FDS/WT/GB could put up a page years later?
