Probably not the first time this has happened, but the w13 5/15 at least twice made the same mistake that got Moses killed by God.

p.8 par. 2: "With heartfelt zeal, we invite "anyone that wishes [to] take life's water free." (Rev 22:17)

Who does the inviting? According to this article, "we" do. That is Jehovah's Witnesses. However, Rev. 22:17 says Christ and the bride do. The vast, vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT the bride of Christ.

    p. 9 par. 6: "We are the only people on earth who offer hope of real solutions to mankind's problems."

JWs don't offer hope. They cannot offer hope. Hope is not theirs to give.

Romans 15:4-6:" For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5?Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6?that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I was immediately reminded of Moses:

Numbers 20:10-12: "After that Moses and Aaron called the congregation together before the crag, and he proceeded to say to them: “Hear, now, YOU rebels! Is it from this crag that we shall bring out water for YOU?” 11?With that Moses lifted his hand up and struck the crag with his rod twice; and much water began to come out, and the assembly and their beasts of burden began to drink. 12?Later Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron: “Because YOU did not show faith in me to sanctify me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore YOU will not bring this congregation into the land that I shall certainly give them.”"

Hmm, interesting. I think, indeed, many witnesses will not be able to enjoy the milllennium, but will die out after armageddon. But in general, these are righteous people, so though not enjoying the millennium, they will get life during Judgment Day, which follows the millennium. They will be resurrected along with the rest of all who have died.

Likely 1/3 of the world's population will die at Armageddon. 1/3 will survive and die out of old age so as not to completely destabilize the world's infrastructure. This should be enough time to hae newly born ones replace them. And 1/3 will live on after Armageddon to enjoy the millennium. The 1/3 that survive Armageddon will those who offer no political threat to God's kingdom, non-violent persons who just proved unworthy of the millennium. Many JWs who were not paying attention during these times will fall into this category.

Keep in mind, when the "ten virgins" are representative of the anointed among JWs, only half of them qualify for the kingdom -- the other half get rejected.

Good, that means that, just like Moses, the GB members won't get to enter into the Promised Land. They'll get to peek at it from some vantage point and then die.

    A fitting end.

Thanks for pointing this out, LQ. You just made my day!

Nice catch!! This is why we need one another. If one of doesnt catch something, then the other will. We all have a unique perspective and see things from a different angle. IMO, using these different perspective to reveal deception is part of building up the body of the Christ. Your post reminds me of the last text for 2012. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/246617/1/Daily-Text-for-February-28-2013-ENJOY

I know the GB have taken the seat of Moses, but I never thought of them claiming to be the providers of life's water! Thanks for that find! I need all the help I can get, because somedays I doubt myself and TTATT. Thanks LQ!!

    peace,

The governing body sinned in saying that Armageddon would come in 1975, just as Moses sinned in the desert. And just as the Israelites had to roam the desert for an extra 40 years, so Armageddon was postponed in 1975 for 40 years. Which means that Armageddon is due in 2015. You heard it here first folks.

Nice twist SBF, but by that logic, the Big "A" shoulda come in 1954 = 1914 + 40 ...

Great catch! I will definitely use that. I echo Data-Dog's comment... workinig together we can spot these valuable nuggets that may help rescue someone still trapped in the organization.

I've been saying for some time that the GB words and actions are blasphemous. They claim Biblical authority, that if you believe the Bible, is not theirs to claim. It's like me claiming the Russian Constitution says I'm the President of Russia. I have an article about it on Freeminds.

A thread a couple of years ago said that the FDS had "struck the rock in Horeb"

Moses said "I am giving you water" not Jehovah.

The WT talked about the "spiritual food PROVIDED by the FDS" not Jehovah.

The GT will not come before they are all dead. Like Moses.

Get yourself a good pension plan.
