Good afternoon Lois and everyone on JWN.
I have just come inside from pottering in the garden, sewing seeds and feeling at one with nature on a lovely Spring-like day in England. Birds are singing - bliss!
Oh how I miss the days of setting the alarm to get up and out to meet the group for service then back home for a rushed lunch and off the the overheated and stuffy KH for two hours sitting on uncomfortable seats listening to some men droning on and on and on

Me, too. I am lying in bed on my iPad looking at JWN instead of going out to the meeting and field service in my high heels. Feels great.
I rarely see dubs in my neighborhood. If I do they are from the Spanish congregation. I just can't imagine the rush to get ready, have the mags and other literature together, and then come up with a presentation that no one cares for.
Is it me or does it seem like every dub nowadays has to have a frumpy well worn suit from a previous decade to impress the world with?
It's 9:01 am. Hubby and I are having a lazy morning. d2d never crosses my mind.
Just relaxing, having eaten some steamed veggies and brown rice with Bragg's Liquid Aminos. First time I did that for breakfast. Not bad.
Planning a nice power walk around Chambers Creek. Probably won't run into any JW's this morning though. I always say Hi if I do.
Btw Lois, the chorus frogs (aka tree frogs) started right on schedule this year, the first of March. I have also been enjoying the "screech" sound from a heron that has taken up residence in the wetland, I hear him intermittenly throughout the night when he feeds. I have caught him early on a few mornings.
Isn't Sunday Field Circus reserved for the CO visit?
I was one of the few that went out on a Sunday after the meeting. When I was service overseer I felt I had to set the example.

I love the fact I can sleep in now on the weekends. I hated service and meetings....I was always so bored and I hated it during summer because of the dang summer heat!
It's almost noon, here in "God's Country!" I slept almost half-way through what would have been wasted in the morning meeting. And I'll study Physical Chemistry and Reaction Engineering rather than go d2d this afternoon. Maybe I'll catch a matinee of an R-rated movie. But I should workout sometime today, gotta take care of this body, it's gotta last me many more years.
Am I happy to have a JW-free Sunday?
